The globalists, ie., Carney, EU, the puppet Zelensky, all want perpetual war. This is how the DS controls the world economies ! Carney is the globalist frontman. He ruins the Canadian economy, ships billions of $’s to endless countries for asinine causes that mostly fall into someone’s pocket ! Just wait until the truth about the Ukraine comes out ! I think that The Quill is more charitable than I am. My take, how I have seen this war and how I understand it: This war started before 2022, at least in 2014. Putin is smarter than wanting to invade Europe, he had other priorities and why would he want to invade a bankrupt continent? That made no sense. He was in a way pushed by NATO to invade, in part to protect Russians in border provinces who had been persecuted and bombed by the Ukraine government for years, had voted to join Russia and were asking for help, and in part to react to the expansion of NATO toward his borders even if Russia had said over and over that this expansion was viewed as a security threat. NATO was created after WWII to "protect" the West from the Soviet Union and communist regime. When the Soviet Union was dismantled, NATO should also have been dismantled since it's raison d'être had disappeared. But people who have power won't usually voluntarily relinquish it, and an organization once created will fight to stay alive even if it has become irrelevant and will try to expand. So it is a NATO war to justify its continuing existence lead by the US who has wanted for decades to counteract the Russian influence in the Middle East and its rich oil reserves and keep hegemony in a world where the balance of power is changing. The US would not directly attack Russia, it attacks proxies like Iraq and Iran. The propaganda we were submitted to did not make sense since the beginning. It was clear from the beginning that Ukraine could not win that war. Russia made offers of peace early on, there was a agreement approved and signed, but ultimately failed (remember Boris Johnson and Emmanuel Macron visiting Zelensky in Kiev?). In my opinion Zelensky is a cry-baby puppet following orders (apparently his handler is the chief of MI6), not too bright, an actor and if reports are accurate, corrupt and profiteering, and he has become arrogant and entitled. I personally cannot stand the sight of him. I have often wondered how our politicians would have responded if Chrystia Freeland were Russian instead of Ukrainian. And I will never forget that in the same press conference when he invoked the Emergency Act, de facto suppressing democracy in Canada, Trudeau (also a puppet, not too bright, an actor with questionable ethics), had the gall to say to us that Canada would send aid and huge sums of money to Ukraine "to save their democracy", and as if we could afford it. The suffering of the Ukrainian people is to be deplored, all the more that most/all of it was totally unnecessary. They are the victims of powerful interests and corrupt figureheads helped by a greedy war industry. By helping to prolong the war, our politicians prolong the suffering of the Ukrainian people and also cause suffering of our most vulnerable people in Canada instead of investing in their well-being and prosperity. In the end, who benefits in Canada from all the resources and taxpayer money sent to Ukraine? How is it justifiable? And I'm pretty sure that Brookfield is involved in the so-called "reconstruction of Ukraine". So, for Canada, is it about a transfer of taxpayer money to Brookfield? Gee, I'd like to know.
From a purely pragmatic perspective, there is nothing to gain from this for Canada; zip, zero, zilch.
Ukraine is not now and has never been an ally to Canada. Our trade with them is negligible. Russia likewise. So why did we send a dime, let alone billions?
Despite the war, Ukraine is not in recession and has substantial gold reserves.
NATO was supposed to be a defensive pact to counter the USSR. Ergo when the USSR dissolved, NATO should have either dissolved or at least reduced in side/scope. Instead, they expanded significantly and kept pretending Russia alone was an equivalent threat which is bollocks.
Hate to say it but I’ve been questioning this ever since the war began. Trudeau was too quick to defend Ukraine and instantly made Canada a war monger. Canada had a history of diplomacy in foreign conflicts since the end of WW2. It seemed too convenient to hastily send money as Ukraine is well known for dry cleaning foreign funds. I’ve written letters to my mla to question all the money sent asking for an audit but I’ve never received a reply. I truly question Chrystia Freeland’s role in Ukraine especially with her close ties to Mark carney. There is a putrid smell coming from that war. Zelensky, carney and all the European leaders are thriving whilst Ukrainians and Russians are paying with their lives! Ukraine has gold reserves Canada has zero, why are we sending them taxpayer money that our children, and grandchildren will have to pay back?
