Iron Quill, each of your writings are so very well written. This one on mercy should be a mandatory reading for every judge, prosecutor, and defence lawyer. It explains eloquently the truth of what mercy really is. People serving in the justice system have lost their common sense of what reality is and no longer are they even close to meting out true consequences deserving to those committing the crimes. Today’s criminals have learnt that there are no consequences to pay, so they continue in the revolving door of the unjust justice system, laughing because they can get away with their crimes. The victims unfortunately are being tortured even more in this current justice system, being victimized further by watching their offender get off with a basic slap on the fingers. To make matters worse are the ridiculous laws being set in place by people in hierarchy, who themselves don’t live in reality and are definitely not in touch with the traumatized lives the victims of crimes are living. Thank you, Iron Quill , for your wise writings.
It happens in the classroom. Children who lash out are given multiple chances to lash out at others and those who get the lashes are expected to forgive and not blame.
💯 why why in some places assault and even rape are treated as misdemeanour offences, assailants given house arrest . Probation? Prescribed narcotics provided then sold so drug addicts cement purchase street drugs?
Silence is great in its place, but when evil is allowed to rule the roost through what they’re calling mercy, it’s a sham. It’s being taken out of context to have people believe it’s kind. It’s ok. It’s not.
And, it will lead straight to the government wanting more control and you losing your freedoms.
When I was a child, we were respectful of our elders, teachers, preachers, priests, and neighbors. There were rules to be followed and if broken, we paid the piper. No excuses.
Allowing anyone in our country to break our laws without any consequences is madness. You know what’s going on. I know what’s going on.
It’s past time to put a stop to it. And quit calling it mercy.

This is being pushed, yet many remain silent.
