THE REMNANT MENTALITY
The Watchman’s Warning
Not everyone is going to make it.
Not everyone is going to stand.
Not everyone is meant to.
That is not pessimism.
It is not defeat.
That is biblical reality.
The idea that the majority will choose truth has never been promised.
It has never been how God works.
It has always been the few.
And that truth matters now.
⸻
THE LIE OF THE MAJORITY
There is a quiet assumption that still lingers in the minds of many.
That eventually, people will wake up.
That truth will become obvious.
That the majority will turn.
Scripture does not support that belief.
It dismantles it completely.
“Enter by the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and the way is easy that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many. For the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few.” — Matthew 7:13–14 (ESV)
Many.
Few.
That is not poetic language. That is reality.
The wide path is not crowded by accident.
It is chosen.
⸻
GOD HAS ALWAYS WORKED THROUGH A REMNANT
God has never required the majority to accomplish His will.
He has never depended on crowds.
He has never waited for consensus.
He has always worked through a remnant.
A small, faithful, unyielding group that refuses to bend when everything around them does.
When Elijah stood against a nation that had turned to false gods, he believed he was alone.
“I, even I only, am left, and they seek my life, to take it away.” — 1 Kings 19:10 (ESV)
But he was wrong.
“I will leave seven thousand in Israel, all the knees that have not bowed to Baal…” — 1 Kings 19:18 (ESV)
Seven thousand.
Not millions.
Not the nation.
The remnant.
So too at the present time there is a remnant, chosen by grace. — Romans 11:5 (ESV)
The strength of God’s work has never been in numbers.
It has been in obedience.
⸻
WHEN IT FEELS LIKE YOU ARE ALONE
There is a moment every person who stands in truth will face.
A moment where it feels like everyone else has either fallen, compromised, or gone silent.
A moment where standing feels like isolation.
Elijah knew that moment.
He stood on truth.
He fought when others would not.
And still, he believed he was the only one left.
He was not seeing clearly.
He was reacting emotionally.
God had already preserved others.
And He still does.
When it feels like you are alone, it is not because you are.
It is because you are standing where most will not.
⸻
WHY MOST WILL FALL
This is the part many do not want to accept.
People do not simply miss truth.
They reject it.
“…because they refused to love the truth and so be saved… therefore God sends them a strong delusion…” — 2 Thessalonians 2:10–11 (ESV)
“And this is the judgment: the light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the light because their works were evil.” — John 3:19 (ESV)
The majority does not drift into darkness.
It chooses it.
Not always loudly.
Not always openly.
But consistently.
Truth requires change.
It demands surrender.
And most will not pay that cost.
⸻
THE COST OF BEING REMNANT
There is a cost to standing.
It is not comfortable.
It is not celebrated.
It is not easy.
“If the world hates you, know that it has hated me before it hated you.” — John 15:18 (ESV)
“Indeed, all who desire to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted.” — 2 Timothy 3:12 (ESV)
Standing means:
You will be misunderstood.
You will be opposed.
You will be pressured to compromise.
If you are waiting to stand when it becomes easy, you will never stand.
Because it never does.
⸻
THE REMNANT MENTALITY
This is where the shift happens.
The remnant does not think like the majority.
It does not wait for approval.
It does not depend on numbers.
It does not measure truth by popularity.
It sees clearly what others refuse to.
It understands that collapse does not mean failure.
It understands that standing alone does not mean being wrong.
The remnant does not measure success by numbers.
It measures faithfulness by obedience.
It stands because it is right.
Not because it is popular.
⸻
THE LINE THAT IS BEING DRAWN
Right now, a line is being drawn.
Not in politics.
Not in culture.
In people.
Between those who will stand and those who will fold.
Between those who will hold truth and those who will trade it for comfort.
Between those who will remain and those who will disappear into the crowd.
You do not drift into the remnant.
You choose it.
And you choose it every time you refuse to bend.
⸻
FINAL WORD
The remnant has never been the majority.
It has always been the ones who refuse to bow.
The ones who refuse to compromise.
The ones who stand when standing costs something.
And in every generation, when things begin to collapse…
They are the ones who remain.
—The Iron Quill

Standing alone doesn’t mean being alone, nor wrong. If one follows Christ, they are never alone, although I have felt alone in times of loss. I am not infallible. I have fallen. I have erred. Sinned. Yet, one thing I know. I will never back down, I will never give in. For with Christ I stand.
Let the remnant wake up to the understanding that the SASK Government is floating the idea for banning Saskatchewan youth from social media - eventhough it is the parent's job to raise healthy, grounded children, limiting its use and influence in their children. Let the remnant wake up to understand that going forward in SK with a "youth social media ban" is a back door to saying YES to DIGITAL ID - Because that fancy new data center being built near Regina for more ‘compute’ power (without any enviromental feasibility study or demand for profit sharing) is housed there to hold the ADULT citizen's credentials who will be the ones to have to verify their identity to use social media for Identification (data) and for their soon to launch Digital ID which will be the gate system for participation in society, buying and selling, accessing healthcare and services, including precision tech-ed in Uni and Tech school, which is why QR codes are and will be normalized among children as they input their data ("Don't worry, it's safe and private, trust us"), filling in their 'My School Surveys', psychoanalyzing their tendencies, feelings and belief systems, not just their academic ability and cognition. This is building the DIGITAL CONTROL grid. Let the remnant wake up!!
